Ian Blakeman

Trustee

Ian was a student in York, and wisely came back to live in the city 20 years ago. His professional background was in the Prison Service – he was the Governor of Leeds Prison, and he is now a Senior Civil Servant in the Ministry of Justice where he is the Director of Planning and Performance. Ian has experience of strategic planning, governance, change management and performance planning and reporting, as well as a background in operational delivery. Ian is excited to be able to bring his public service experience to his role as a trustee and to support the work of SASH.
