Valerie Cotter

Trustee

Valerie came to Yorkshire from Ireland in 1989 and never left. She spent her working life in local government and then in higher education with a strong focus on tackling barriers to opportunities and inclusion and providing practical support, particularly to young people. Valerie retired from her job as Director of Student Services at the University of York in 2021. As a trustee Valerie looks forward to supporting SASH’s vital work providing services to young people who are vulnerable to homelessness.
