SASH Active at the Rainbow Centre
Thank you and well done to our Scarborough lodger Adam, who gave up a day of his Easter holiday earlier this month to help out another charity!
The Rainbow Centre, a Scarborough social action project for people in crisis, needed a refresh of one of their therapy rooms. After talking to SASH Support Worker Tiffany Wilkey, it became obvious that the work would be a perfect project for our SASH Active programme.
With paint kindly donated by B&Q Scarborough, Adam and Tiff spent a few hours repainting the therapy room in a new, calming colour. For Adam it was a chance to put into practice some of the skills he is currently learning on a construction course, but he also said he felt it was important to support the local community and was glad to have been involved.
Rainbow Centre manager Trish Kinsella was really pleased with the result and very appreciative of the time that Adam had put in.
We are looking forward to further SASH Active projects at the Rainbow Centre in the future!
