The SASH Co-production Group Has Had A Rename!
Co-production at SASH is well underway, and we recently held another fantastic session with our young people.
One exciting development from the session was the group choosing a permanent name. From now on, our Co-Production group will be known as the Supporting SASH Group. This name was chosen by the young people themselves to reflect their important role in shaping SASH’s future.
In this month’s session, the group reviewed key SASH documents, including safeguarding and missing person’s policies and parts of our Host agreement. Using their lived experience, the young people suggested ways to simplify the safeguarding and missing person’s documents while making sure all vital information remains clear and accessible. They also shared their views on the Host agreement, agreeing that it accurately reflected what young people can expect from their Hosts.
The session also included exciting updates on two Nightstop projects: the comfort bags being developed for young people entering Nightstop, and the new Nightstop flashcards. Both projects have been shaped directly by the feedback from the Supporting SASH Group. The young people were pleased to see their ideas reflected in the final designs and felt proud to have made a positive difference.
Thank you to all the young people who continue to share their time, experiences, and ideas through the Supporting SASH Group. Your voices are helping SASH continue to improve and grow, ensuring the service truly reflects the needs of those we support.
