Celebrating 18 Years of Hosting: Pauline and Helen’s Incredible Commitment
We’re thrilled to share a truly incredible milestone from within the SASH host community.
This month marks 18 years of hosting for the incredible Pauline and Helen. Pauline and Helen are two sisters who have been providing safe and supportive homes for young people in York and Selby since they both joined SASH individually in 2006. Between them, they have supported over 80 young people, offering stability during some of the most challenging times in a young person’s life.
To celebrate this achievement, Tiff Wilkey, our Host Recruitment and Retention Lead, and Philippa Robson, SASH CEO, surprised Pauline and Helen with afternoon tea at Bettys Tea Room in York. Over tea and cake, they reflected on the past 18 years at SASH and were then given gift bags filled with goodies and cards signed by the entire SASH team.
In addition to supporting so many young people over nearly two decades, Pauline and Helen have also supported each other. Both having built their own careers and families, their shared experience as SASH hosts is a testament to their selflessness and compassion.
