Supported Lodgings provides a stable home for young people.

Young people, who are unable to return home and not yet ready to live independently live with a trained host for up to two years, giving them the time, space, and support they need to build confidence and independence.

What we Offer

Each young person is supported by both a dedicated support worker and their host. Together, they provide consistent guidance to help young people move forward at their own pace.

Support is tailored to individual needs and can include:

  • Accessing education, training, or employment

  • Building confidence and independence

  • Managing money and budgeting

  • Learning everyday life skills like cooking, cleaning, and shopping

  • Connecting with specialist services, including mental health support where needed

Young people also make a contribution towards household costs, helping them prepare for managing their own tenancy in the future.

A Journey Towards Independence

Supported Lodgings is more than just a place to stay, it’s a step towards a more stable future.

Many young people arrive feeling anxious, uncertain, or overwhelmed. With the safety and consistency of a supportive home environment, they begin to build confidence, develop new skills and start to plan for what comes next.

By the time they move on, they are better equipped to live independently and make positive choices about their future.

Young people are referred to Supported Lodgings through local authorities and partner agencies.
