SASH Virtual Sleepout 2021
We’re asking participants to give up their beds again and raise money for SASH virtually, this May. Pitch a tent or make your own shelter in the garden or if the weather’s bad snuggle up under the kitchen table or on the sofa and raise money to help young people facing homelessness.
Although the event is free, we would simply ask you to donate using the button below or raise additional sponsorship.
- £50 could provide transport to get a young person to safe accommodation for the night
- £130 could provide safe accommodation for a young person for a week.
How to get involved
Whether you choose to pitch a tent in your garden, create a makeshift shelter or sleep on the floor in your kitchen, the choice is yours! Now is the time to choose your sleeping spot, dust off your sleeping bag and have hats, gloves and thermals at the ready and get involved!
How to sign up
1. Simply secure your tickets using Eventbrite
2. Click ‘join’ on the SASH Virtual Sleepout 21 Facebook event
3. Head to the Facebook event on 21st May, 19.00pm to join in the fun!
It may be just for one night, but your support will go on to have a direct impact in helping the local young people who are facing homelessness. Whilst we are not trying to replicate what it is like to sleep rough, giving up your bed for one night will give you an idea of the situation that a lot of young people find themselves in when they have nowhere else to turn.
Giving up the luxury of your bed and swapping it for a sleeping bag for one night means others don’t have to. Join fellow participants virtually and come together for a fun filled evening and help our local young people today.
Bringing together family, friends, colleagues and any one else in the local community, we challenge you to hold your very own sleepout and let us here at SASH bring everyone together.
"SASH literally saved my life"
Isaac* used Nightstop so he didn't have to sleep rough. Facing homelessness had brought him to his lowest point. With support from SASH he got a fresh start.
After running out of places to sofa surf, *Clare ended up spending the night in 24-hour McDonald’s just to keep warm.
