Coles Solicitors raise £19,500 for SASH
Thanks to our local business supporters we’ve had a great start to the year
Coles Solicitors in York chose SASH as their Charity of the Year in 2018 and have raised £19,500 to help us prevent youth homelessness.
The firm’s creative approach to fundraising included a ‘virtual ball’, where people stayed at home and instead of paying for babysitters, taxis, having their hair done and buying a new outfit, they made a donation to SASH!
The amount raised was also thanks to the generosity of their clients, who made a donation towards our work which was then doubled by Coles.
Peter Gibson, Managing Director at Coles Solicitors said:
‘I feel that to have young people struggling with homelessness is a real tragedy. If we can do something to help them when they are starting out in life, to make sure they have the security of somewhere to stay, that’s really important.’
This amount will make a significant contribution to our income this year – our sincere thanks to the staff and clients at Coles Solicitors who helped to make this happen.
