Your Change, Their Future

The Queens Hotel in York has raised over £2,880 for SASH, enough to cover the expenses for 155 nights of emergency accommodation.

This impressive amount has been raised because the hotel is taking part in Your Change, Their Future.  The campaign works by inviting hotel guests to donate their spare change in a specially printed envelope which we provide. If they want to make a contribution, guests simply leave their envelope at reception on departure.

General Manager at The Queens Hotel, Samantha Ashby, found out about our work a couple of years ago: “I have a young daughter myself and I’m aware of the potential of what could happen, to anybody from any walk of life. If a teenager finds themself in difficulty it’s good to know that there is a team of people who can help them.

Your Change, Their Future really is so easy.

You just put the envelopes in the room, and the guests leave them at reception for us.”

We are very grateful to the five hotels in York currently supporting our work through the campaign, raising money for SASH at no cost to themselves and with a minimum of effort.

It would be wonderful to have many more businesses on board!
