SASH Host Conference
It was wonderful to see such a great turn-out for our first ever SASH Host Conference last Saturday!
Over 50 of our fantastic hosts from all over North and East Yorkshire joined us at the Principal Hotel in York for a packed agenda of workshops, networking and presentations.
On offer were sessions on a range of topics to help hosts provide even better support to the young people who are staying with them, including Prevent, Supporting LGBT+ Young People, Maladaptive Behaviours and Attachment Theory.
It was also a chance for our volunteers to meet SASH staff and fellow hosts from across the region, and to learn more about our fundraising activities, why we need the money and where it goes.
Last, but certainly not least, the conference was a valuable opportunity for us to consult directly with our hosts on plans for the future of SASH.
Throughout the day we were reminded of how fortunate we are to have such committed and dedicated volunteers. We got some great feedback and are delighted that our hosts found it so useful. Roll on the Host Conference 2019!
