Earlier this month we completed our 18th Enable project, and once again we had cause to be incredibly proud of the young people we support.
Current and former SASH lodgers Suzan, Jake and Beth all volunteered to help out on the project at the St Leonards Hospice shop in Acomb – the same venue that was the site of an Enable project two years ago! They spent several hours tidying up sheds and a garage outside the St Leonard’s Hospice’s Acomb shop, and giving the storage spaces a much needed makeover.
As always, the team worked really hard to get the work completed and did a fantastic job, so to Suzan, Jake and Beth, we’d like to say a huge ‘THANK YOU!!!”.
The Enable Project is part of our SASH Active programme and is a simple idea of people coming together to volunteer their time and play an active part in the communities in which they live, helping others achieve something they might otherwise struggle to do.
Our SASH Active programme relies entirely on our supporters who fund the activities, offering opportunities or provide materials. If you too would like to help, please just call us on 01904 65043.
